Job Description

JOB PURPOSETo design and plan facilities projects while ensuring coordination with different departments in order to monitor projects execution within contractual obligations, designs, specifications and standards.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify the need for new projects or improvement of existing ones by conducting site visits, managing the assessment of current conditions of Tahakom facilities and by conducting external assessment on latest trends and standards
  • Follow-up on design plan and specification and develop preliminary architectural and structural design according to given specifications
  • Review detailed design in order to recognize key requirements and capabilities for the development of tendering package and needed expertise for project execution
  • Develop of RFPs? to be sent to potential shortlisted contractors/suppliers based on profile fit, requirements and needed expertise
  • Participate in cost evaluations against set budget related to facilities engineering in coordination with Financial Planning and Budgeting directorate
  • Provide support to Procurement and Logistics directorate in selecting adequate services providers and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to finalize the contracts related to facilities engineering
  • lead the annual planning activities for the development and expansion plan in coordination with the Operations Unit
  • Initiate facilities projects based on approved project submittals and schedule
  • Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with approved designs and drawings and accordingly detect and report on issues and suggest corrective actions
  • Consolidate collected reports that include detected issues, summary on projects? progress, timeline and cost deviations and raise to higher management for review
  • Coordinate with contractors to prepare suitable trainings for project stakeholders
  • Develop project closure reports highlighting all submitted deliverables and lessons learned
  • Ensure issuance of certificate of completion upon the expiration of the defect liability period
  • Ensure completion of all contractual obligations and report vendors? performance and communicate findings to Facilities Management directorate for identification of future actions
