They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.Project Overview:Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete.The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and , is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system.Riyadh?s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. These values are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.We invite you to apply to become part of this very important transportation project and deliver this railway system to the residents of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Job Summary:The role of the Claims Schedule Engineer, with a good grounding in planning and forensic schedule analysis, is a key part of a small team of claims specialists working closely in the preparation and/or assessment of claims for additional time and cost on a very demanding and challenging project. Reporting to the Senior Claims Schedule Analyst and in collaboration with the Senior Claims Manager and the other claims specialists on the team, the Claims Scheduler is seen as an important team player in achieving our challenging goals.Essential Job Duties and Qualifications:The candidate for this position must be a self-starter, able to work independently while remaining a team player, and capable of bringing potential scenarios and solutions to the table for group evaluation and scenario studies. The experience and skill-set of the candidate is to include the following:Qualification in a construction discipline, engineering or quantity surveying, with requisite experience, including site based experience.At least 10 years of relevant experience in planning, construction and engineering.An effective communicator, oral and written.Fully conversant with a minimum of 10 years Primavera related experience.Career experience must come out of the construction industry, with a background in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.Major contractor experience required and international exposure an advantage (especially Middle East)At least five years working as a claims scheduler, mainly on the side of a contractor but consultant/client-side exposure is an advantage.Able to carry out document research in a logical, structured manner. The project uses ACONEX.Able to interface with construction team personnel (field) in the validation of evidence (background stories).Highly conversant with delay impact analysis methodologies and with window analysis processes.Familiar with concepts such as concurrent and parallel delays, excusable/non-excusable, compensable/non-compensable; case law and reference text (e.g. Pickavance, AACE, SCL) knowledge will be an advantage.This is not a management position; this is a position for a hands-on specialist.Shaping tomorrow togetherBechtel is one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies.
