Job Description

PURPOSE OF YOUR JOBThis position is primarily to provide support to manage and implement HSE best practices at the company locations and Administartion Tasks by working closely with operations and Admin management teams. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Design Training Programs to provide safety awareness education.
  • Give guidance literature and deliver training on current health and safety legislation and Health and Safety best practices.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments and producing Health and Safety Improvement Plans
  • Provide support to assess risks and review tasks of key operational activities in order to identify and prevent probable HSE hazards leading to significant losses.
  • Conduct site HSE tours inside to monitor the HSE performance and compliance to ensure adherence to the policies and procedures.
  • Report on HSE to the AEI Executive Team, highlighting any incidents, concerns, and issues to ensure timely escalation and resolution of problems at the site.
  • Assist in the delivery of HSE training to ensure that all employees and contractor staff are aware of the HSE standards.
  • To liaise with local authorities to ensure mutual support and adherence to HSE compliance requirements.
  • Report and respond on an immediate basis to HSE incidents using the established communication channels and protocols, in order to minimize damages as much as possible.
  • Identify best practices to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve working conditions.
  • Establish objectives and targets relevant to the company?s health and safety system performance.
  • Ensure that general safety and good housekeeping practices are followed across AEI?s facilities, offices, and restaurants.
  • To ensure that all assets and equipment receive appropriate checks and inspections and that they receive scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain all the inspections, incidents, and other health and safety-related record.
  • To ensure that all company-wide HSE processes and policies including Fire Protection, Electrical Hazardous, Area Classification, Vent & Drain, Personnel Protection, Evacuation & Escape, and Environment procedures are up to date and are followed by AEI staff.
