Today, our colleague?s team with customers, partners, and suppliers on diverse projects in nearly 40 countries.Bechtel is seeking a Regional HR Specialist who will report to the Country HR Manager.The position is responsible for supporting the regional service-delivery model within the country and will undertake HR activities related to compliance,and the effective implementation of employee relations, policies, programs,diversity & inclusionand initiatives as appropriate for the country and within the corporate policy guidelines.Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and support employee relations cases within the country including grievances, disputes, mediation, performance management, and workplace investigations
  • Co-ordinate disciplinary outcomes and/or corrective actions including coaching managers & supervisors in best practice delivery
  • Provideinterpretative guidance toline management and HRconcerning the intent of human resourcepolicies
  • ProvideHRassistance and expertise to line management and project HR representativesensuring consistency and compliance with regional HR activities including on-boarding, managing assignment completions, redeployment and separation
  • Provideinput on country level work visa requirements, work visa options, complianceand related HR/payroll work processes
  • Partner with the government relations team to support compliance with Saudi Labor Laws
  • Facilitateimmigration work process, data, metrics and reports to ensure compliance
  • Partner with in-house legal counsel on matters within the region including but not limited to legal advice, employee relations, legislative changes, policy review, etc.
  • ManageSAP (HRIS) and BCMS (case management system) data integrity
  • Support the review and implementation ofHR policies, procedures and management instructionsbymonitoring relevant legislative and market changes within the country
  • Interface with the project HR as required ensuring the timely completion of critical Human Resources activities
  • Champion Diversity and Inclusionwithin the country
  • Perform other duties as required by theRegional HR Manager
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 8+ years?in-depthHRexperience of(including?several HR disciplines, i.e.,employee relations, policy development, and employment compliance)
  • Thorough knowledge of employment compliancelegislation and lawthroughout the Saudi Arabia
  • Excellent English language skills and experience in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports
  • Proven ability to work across HR disciplines to drive business outcomes within the region.
  • Strong work delivery focus and demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of individual initiative, discretion and judgement.
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Detail oriented, organized, flexible and able to work with multiplelevels is essential
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternatives and recommending solutions onareasaffecting human resources administration
  • Proven employee relations experience including conducting workplace investigations.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years? experience, includingexperienceof workingwithinthe region in the HR discipline.
  • Good working knowledge andpriorexperiencein a large, matrixorganization
  • Knowledge of employment compliancelegislation and lawthroughout the region
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with changingpriorities,deadlinesand stakeholders
  • Demonstratedknowledge of main human resources disciplines (policy development,employmentlegislation, projectHR delivery andemployee relations.)
  • Proven experience of numerous Human Resources processes
  • Intermediate skill in MS Office Suite producing business-level reports, presentations and recommendations.
