Provides leadership, direction and supervision over activities in the followingareas: Track work, Third rail and depot equipments Maintains oversight of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and condition basedMaintenance (CBM) procedures by developing engineering type solutions to repetitivefailures and other maintenance related problems. Evaluates, develops, and manages preventive, corrective and overhaul programsfor all subsystem under his responsibility and support equipment. Provides recommendationsand assists in the development of corrective actions to be takento increase efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures that responsible personnel are trained in the Preventive/PredictiveMaintenance Program and also effective implementation of contingency plansin the event of an emergency. Analyze fault histories to identify specific repetitive failures, and create a plan toaddress these failures. Prepares and presents oral and/or written reports/recommendations to theO&M Management, as directed by the Maintenance Manager prepares periodicreports to determine possible problem, trends or other items of concern to bebrought to the Management attention. Manages the resources assigned to the Office in order to optimize utilization ofall resources, including personnel and non-personnel. Identifies training needs for all personnel within car maintenance and coordinatesthe implementation of effective training programs for all functions withinthe Office. Maintains a required level of technical knowledge to oversee and contribute tothe resolution of complex problems with system, materials and identifying alternativesolution as well. Coordination with other system supervisors in solving a complex and repetitivefailures. Liaise and supervise relevant sub-suppliers staff. Perform related duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager
