A SEMI GOVERNMENT COMPANY is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor.Function Accountability

Conduct cost analysis based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
Coordinate with project teams and share recommendations on materials to be purchased in line with budget requirements.
Share cost plans with design teams to enable them to produce practical designs for construction projects through coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
Prepare tender and contract documents for material procurement and seek approval from management.
Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
Carry out periodic valuations of work in progress, including review of current accrued costs as well as forecasting of final costs.
Coordinate with project teams on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondences and ensure commercial controls are in place and always adhered to.
Prepare reports and share information with management on incurred costs and ensure timely escalation of red flags.
