Job Description

General :Planning, organizing and supervising the comprehensive purchasing functions for the company in compliance with mandated requirements, overseeing daily activities including major purchases; negotiating terms and conditions with vendors; and achieving department objectives and goals within budget.Specific

  • Manage the implementation of pertinent procurement strategies and policies.
  • Administers bidding process and contracts for vendor performance/compliance within established limits (e.g. prepare specifications, evaluate bids, recommend vendors, conduct bid meetings, etc.) for the purpose of securing goods and services within budget and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create purchases budget, manage inventory cycles and implement KPI?s.
  • Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
  • Lead the procurement group in all phases.
  • Identify and develop training opportunities for purchasing staff.
  • Review and approve supplier quotations.
  • Evaluates purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with customers and company requirements.
  • Ensure authorization on spend limits as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of goods and services.
  • Help to lower the cost and secure agreements.
  • Liaise with accounting to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
