Job Description

SummaryResponsible for overall project management. Continously seeks better, smarter, faster, and cost-effective ways of managing Hospital operations.Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Communicates with HITA managers to determine impact of proposed changes in hardware or software on computer operations and service to user.
  2. Evaluates proposed HITA projects to assess adequacy of existing technology and recommend purchase accordingly.
  3. Plans and coordinates the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations.
  4. Responsible for scheduling, crisis management, software development, escalated service concerns, professional development and motivational aspects of his/her team for maximum output, documentation, and training the internal staff.
  5. Maintains knowledge and stays abreast on technological advances. Ensures security compliance of the information system.
  6. Assists in development, delivery, and maintenance of new and existing business applications, proposing improvements to existing applications. Manages the documentation of business requirements and determines technical solutions.
  7. Manages staff, contributes to HITA strategic planning, and manages continuous quality improvements.
  8. Oversees day-to-day operations, looking for enhanced and cost-effective ways of managing Hospital operations. Requires project planning, management, and anticipation needs.
  9. Introduces solid Quality Control/Testing protocols. Responsible for maintenance and trouble-shooting.
  10. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
  11. Participates in self and other?s education, training and development, as applicable.
EducationMaster?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines is required.Experience RequiredFive (5) years of healthcare information technology experience with Master?s Degree or seven (7) years with Bachelor?s Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)N/A.
