Job Description

The Project Controls Engineerassists the Senior Project Controls Engineer to develop, manage and implement all phases of the project control effort (program and project progress performance, cost analysis, reporting system, dashboards, etc.). He/she contributes to analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a progress control system under the guidance of the Senior Project Controls Engineer;
  • Collect data from the Projects Managers to update the database to help produce the Monthly Progress Report and the Monthly Dashboards;
  • Define project area needs for schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring following project procedures and client contract requirements;
  • Allocate resources in line with the progress requirements, prepare monthly cost reports to management including project status as actual VS planned;
  • Participate in writing Management Plans and Project Execution Plans;
  • Monitor project activities against contract scope of work and prepares additional work cost estimates;
  • Control budgets, changes, and estimates at completion to ensure a successful project delivery;
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems;
  • Attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis;
  • Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages. Provides cost control and contract management skills and coordinates project estimation efforts;
  • Perform other position-related duties as requested.
