- Compare obtained prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions and obtain supply chain manager approval.- Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.- Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory- Coordinate with warehouse team to ensure timely delivery and to update POs status.- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.- Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment as per the agreed terms.- Evaluates the performance of certain vendors in order to decide whether or not to continue buying from them- Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
