Procurement Manager – Building ProjectsJob Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaEXPERIENCE: 10–15 YearsQUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Management.We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement process for our construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will manage the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services while ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires fostering strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders and adhering to project specifications and schedules.Roles & Responsibilities:1. Procurement of Construction Materials, Capital Goods, and Services:•Identify and source construction materials and tools as per project requirements.•Collaborate with project managers to understand material specifications and timelines.•Gather market price data for suppliers, subcontractors, and equipment based on past projects and current market conditions.•Secure the best-committed prices from suitable sources.2. Vendor Management:•Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.•Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate prices and terms for cost-effective purchasing.•Regularly assess vendor performance and on-board new vendors as needed.3. Inventory Control:•Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing overstock.•Maintain accurate purchase, pricing, and inventory records in the system.4. Pricing & Analysis:•Analyse project specifications, drawings, and documents to understand the scope of work.•Strong knowledge of construction materials, labour costs, equipment costs, and market rates.•Prepare pricing for turnkey construction projects, including buildings and infrastructure.•Coordinate with planning and finance departments for time schedules and cash flow forecasts, accounting for financial expenses.5. Procurement Strategy & Value Engineering:•Float inquiries to suppliers/manufacturers and conduct comparison studies based on quotations.•Negotiate technical and commercial aspects of products with suppliers.•Conduct value engineering studies to align with client budget constraints.•Maintain records and supplier/manufacturer databases.6. Government & Private Project Expertise:•Experienced in bidding for government and private company projects in Saudi Arabia.•Familiarity with bidding procedures, processes, and government technical and financial/commercial requirements.Mandatory Requirements:1.Candidates currently in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama are preferred.
