Job Description

Summary:The Planning Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and implementing project plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation, adherence to timelines, and project completion within budget. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan, schedule, and monitor engineering projects, ensuring the smooth execution of project activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to identify potential issues and trends.
  • Monitor project progress against plans, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying deviations or delays.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues, optimize resource utilization, and ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize the impact of potential issues.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to project managers, senior management, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, to effectively manage project plans and schedules.
  • Stay up-to-date on project management methodologies, planning tools, and engineering technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project planning and scheduling processes.
