Job Description

Role Description:To support pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing? medications, in order to meet quality standards within patient regulations and? methods, and AlDara?s adopted policies and procedures.?Key Accountabilities:

  • Prescription?Management:
  1. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to? determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and? supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing? outdated drugs??
  2. Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication? orders and prescriptions; preparing labels; calculating quantities;? assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies??
  3. Ensure medication availability by assisting the pharmacist in processing? prescriptions and departmental orders and delivering medications to? patients and departments??
  4. Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures,? rules, and regulations??
  5. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies? and protocols??
  6. Ensure that the security and proper storage of drugs is maintained?
  • Administrative?Support:
  1. Charge medications (prescription and no-prescription) and supplies? used to the patient record??
  2. Maintain records by recording and filing physicians orders and? prescriptions??
  3. Assure medical insurance claims and payments are processed
  • Policies, Processes and Procedures:
  1. Follow all relevant Pharmacy?s policies, procedures, and controls so? that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner??
  2. Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous? improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account? leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction,? and productivity improvement??
  3. Promote the implementation and adherence to policies, procedures,? and controls to others within AlDara?? Report on changes within AlDara that impact relevant policies,? procedures and controls
