SummaryAssists Orthotist Technicians in fabricating, maintaining and adjusting all types of orthoses.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Fabricates maintains and adjusts all types of orthoses as instructed by qualified orthotic technician.2. Prepares negative cast models for rectification process.3. Drapes lower extremity and spinal orthotics.4. Helps Orthotist Technicians in assembling orthoses.5. Adjusts and trims orthoses as instructed by orthotic technicians.6. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.7. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.8. Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationDiploma in Prosthetics/Orthotics from a recognized institution is required.Experience Required*Grade 07:Two (2) years of Prosthetics/Orthotics experience is required.*Grade 08:-Four (4) years as a Fabrication Technician at KFSH&RC.-Average or annual performance appraisal of3.5 for last four(4)years.-Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continuing medical education is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Current registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for HealthSpecialties (SCHS) is required.
