Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Oracle Database Administrator to bolster our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate should possess a robust foundation in Oracle database administration, excelling in performance optimization and maintenance.Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, and update Oracle database software along with associated products.
  • Oversee the health, security, and performance of Oracle databases, ensuring ongoing stability.
  • Execute database backups, recovery, and restoration procedures effectively.
  • Implement and uphold robust database security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute database maintenance plans while optimizing database performance.
  • Address and resolve database-related incidents proficiently.
  • Work closely with development teams to enhance database queries and schema designs.
  • Implement and manage database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in professional Oracle Database Administration roles.
  • Expertise: Proficiency in Oracle Database 12c/18c/19c administration.
  • Skills: Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM. Profound understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
  • Familiarity: Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Pump) and database security best practices.
  • Traits: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Exposure to Oracle Exadata or other engineered systems.
  • Understanding of cloud database services (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation.
