Job Description

  1. Responsible for making spectacle lenses the right shape for the frame and fitting them into the frame.
  2. Preparing customer prescriptions to the highest standard using the latest computer-controlled equipment
  3. Shaping molded glass or plastic for various lenses including spectacle lenses and contact lenses
  4. Using lathes and other hand or machine tools to grind, smooth and polish the lenses
  5. Making up complex lenses by hand ? most simple lenses are made by machine
  6. Making spectacle lenses the right shape for the frame and fitting them into the frame
  7. Finishing spectacle lenses by glazing, or applying tints and polishes
  8. assembling and testing the instrument or pair of spectacles
  9. responsible for satisfactory customer services and routine follow with the customers
  10. Responsible for greeting the customers, assisting them for selection of lens or frames.
