Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmology Specialist to join our medical team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an Ophthalmology Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, performing refraction, laser surgeries, and providing comprehensive eye care to patients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ophthalmology and be passionate about delivering high-quality care.Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive eye exams to evaluate patients visual acuity, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  2. Diagnose and treat various eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, infections, and diabetic retinopathy.
  3. Assist and possibly perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, pterygiums, chalazions, refractive surgery, and other minor eye procedures.
  4. Prescribe and administer medications to treat eye conditions or infections.
  5. Provide pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  6. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as optometrists, nurses, and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records of patients eye conditions, treatments, and progress.
  9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and attend conferences or workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  10. Ensure compliance with all medical protocols, standards, and regulations, and able to learn and improve skills.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Medical degree in Ophthalmology from a reputable institution.
  2. Valid license to practice as an Ophthalmology Specialist in Saudi Arabia.
  3. Minimum 1-5 years of experience in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions after obtaining degree.
  4. Proficient in performing ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract surgery and refractive surgery
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
  6. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex eye conditions.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  8. Empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  9. Fluency in Arabic and English languages.
  10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
