Collaborate with Nursing Administration and co-lead strategic and operational planning and execution and support Nursing Administration?s quality, strategic and annual operational plans.
Implement, monitor and evaluate the nursing quality improvement and patient safety program including data collection, data aggregation and analysis, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of improvement activities.
Facilitate quality improvement within the Nursing Department by ensuring the implementation of evidence based guidelines and quality metric performance improvement monitoring system, such as MODHS and hospital indicators, as well as other vendors (i.e. NDNQI).
Maintain working knowledge and support clinical practice standards and models of care, including Joint Commission International (JCI) and Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) standards, as well as other regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor processes required to ensure that the Nursing Department complies with National (CBAHI) and International (JCI) Accreditation standards and subsequent quality improvement processes.ÿ
Analyzes nurse-sensitive clinical indicators and patient experience structure, process and outcome data; compare unit and organizational performance and identify outcome improvement opportunities.
Contribute to strategic initiatives through data management and analysis driving actionable nursing and organizational activities and outcomes.
Monitor the quality and quantity of data and information and investigates variances. Lead the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient experience performance improvement projects and initiatives, as linked to the Nursing Department strategic plans.
Provide tracked, trended and actionable data in a timely manner and create mechanism to make data available to Nursing Administration and all nursing staff, as appropriate.
Support the implementation and development of quality strategies to solve care system deficiencies and evaluates their effectiveness.
Utilize and embody the Magnet principles to transform nursing at all levels, inclusive of transformational leadership, excellence in nursing practice (i.e. care delivery models), nursing autonomy, structural empowerment including shared governance, nursing research and innovation.

Actively participate in department/organization-wide committees as delegated (particularly quality, patient safety, and risk management committees) and positively represent the organization and the profession of nursing both internally and externally.
Support standardization of all initiatives, performance improvement projects and nursing practice within the scope of expertise and authority within Nursing Administration.
Effectively execute initiatives through robust interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration using a systems approach.
Embrace continuing professional development at all levels. Provide leadership, education and training to all relevant nursing and non-nursing staff.
Empower and foster teamwork to achieve nursing practice and operational excellence in the delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient care, supporting patient-centered care, nurse satisfaction and staff retention.

Support the hiring and credentialing processes and committees to maintain acceptance of high-quality nurses to fulfill current and future nursing manpower requirements.
