Responsibilities and duties:1- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks2- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP3- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation4- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security5- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting6- Investigating faults in the network7- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases8- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
