Duties and ResponsibilitiesJob SummaryCarries out configuration, maintenance and testing of all PSCC microcomputer hardware and software to ensure effective application and use in stand alone and network environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center.Installs various PC operating systems, office applications and anti-virus software on users? personal computer, either on-site or at the data center.Answers basic telephone troubleshooting help for desktop system.Responses to user?s request for information and assist in problem resolution.Provides timely, accurate and reliable assistance on Windows and other office software to all PC users of the hospital and in accordance to the departmental policies.Provides micro-based statistics, graphics and desktop publishing support for hospital departments.Assists end users to design and create high-tech multimedia presentations.Continuously evaluates the hardware and software configurations to ensure suitability to user requirements.Installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems, providing technical assistance to end-users.Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee?s knowledge, skills and abilities.Education/LicensureEssential: Diploma in Computer Technician or related field.Professional ExperienceEssential: Two (1) years of recent experience in the same field.
