Job Description

  1. Provide rapid response to Metro Engineering & Maintenance related incidents and failures at stations, depots and trains limiting their impacts and restoring services promptly, safely and minimizing inconvenience to the users.
  2. Perform analytical works, and grasp the complexity of a software based signalling and train control system to minimize any failure to the lowest level.
  3. Carry out first line response, maintenance and failures recovery of all sub-systems within Engineering & Maintenance department such Automatic train control system and communications system.
  4. Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment.
  5. Under the supervision and conduct periodical electrical testing, stress testing, check motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, circuit breakers and gas insulated switches, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components and recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards;
  6. ?Perform roles necessary for the management of the safe system of works, including to meet tight maintenance schedules;
  7. Follow the relevant procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with client;
  8. Perform analytical works, and grasp the complexity of a software based signalling and train control system;
  9. Assist in carrying out functional test, troubleshoot, and assemble/disassemble tests as required, repair and replace defective parts in different sub-systems metro network equipment;
