Job Description

SummaryAssists pharmacists in the deliveryof all medications to all Nursing Units and within shelves in pharmacy areas.Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Picks up and deliversmedications to designated nursing units according to established schedules.
  2. Scans/Documents all deliveredMedications as per delivery/tracking systemrequirements.
  3. Makes special deliveries orcollection of messages/mail and other items as instructed by pharmacy areamanager.
  4. Delivers Narcotic/Controlledmedications and their documents from/ to Narcotic Pharmacy and differentpharmacy areas.
  5. Assists pharmacists indistributing and replenishing medications to theshelves.
  6. Assists in the handling ofreturn medications for disposal.
  7. Assists narcotic staff toplace the medications from/ to the narcotic vault, when needed.
  8. Maintains a clean workingenvironment.
  9. Maintains confidentiality andcustody of medications and other pharmacy related issues.
  10. Participates in self andothers education, training and development, as applicable.
  11. Follows all Hospital/Departmentalrelated policies and procedures.
  12. Performs other relatedduties as assigned and requested.
EducationHigh School Education orIntermediate School Education is required.Experience RequiredNo experience required withHigh School Education or one (1) year of experience as a Messenger withIntermediate School Education is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Saudi Nationals is preferred.
