Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in P&ID (Piping & InstrumentationDiagram) drafting using AutoCAD or Plant 3D, along with experience in hazardous areaclassification drawings per NFPA 2, IEC 60079, and ATEX standards. The ideal candidate willhave strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, process safety, and flammablematerial handling in industries such as oil & gas.Key Responsibilities:• Develop, modify and review P&IDS (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) using AutoCAD orPlant 3D.• Prepare hazardous area classification drawings in compliance with NFPA 2, IEC 60079, andother relevant standards.• Collaborate with process engineers, safety teams, and project managers to ensure P&IDsand hazardous area layouts meet regulatory and client requirements.• Apply zone classifications (Zone 0, 1, 2 / Division 1, 2) for flammable gas, vapor, and dustenvironments.• Ensure proper equipment selection (Ex-rated) and spacing in hazardous zones.• Perform design validation and troubleshoot discrepancies in P&IDs and hazardous areaplans.• Generate GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) as needed.• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA studies related to process safety and hazardous areadesign.• Maintain documentation and version control for engineering drawings.• Support as-built updates and ensure proper handover to clients.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.• 3+ years of experience in P&ID drafting using AutoCAD and/or Plant 3D.• Proven experience in hazardous area classification drawings (NFPA 2, IEC 60079, ATEX etc).• Familiarity with industry standards (ISA 5.1, ASME B31.3, etc.).• Knowledge of 3D modeling (Plant 3D, AutoCAD , or similar) is a plus.• Ability to interpret PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and convert them into detailed P&IDs.• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment.• Excellent communication and documentation skills.Salary Package 4000 - 5000 SRSend us CVs[update cv in your account with required details and apply online]
