Job Description

One of the large retailers in the middle east is looking for a Market Place Manager.The candidate should be a self-motivated individual, with keen ability to find the opportunities and make supplier acquisitions and drive engagement to increase revenue from the assigned product categories. ?He should be able to address all the supplier and market issues arising in Platform horizon and lead, train and equip them to manage the conversion into digital sales through the ecommerce platform.The key functions of the role is :

  1. The person will have to discuss and bring in new suppliers and initiate?the discussion to on-board in their ecommerce platform including the commercial terms as agreed internally
  2. Manage the revenue and margin for the category assigned, and will be his/her main KPI
  3. Manage the execution and leverage from the Field Staff to engage with ecommerce portal network to sustain and grow his/her assigned category
  4. Supplier management - For the suppliers who are?joining with their sales team?and who are using only online resources, he/she will be the one-stop resource to resolve their operational issues. This in turn has to be managed by this role with interactions within the different functions to ensure customer satisfaction
