Plan, manage and implement the activities of logistic and transportation of goods
Plan routes to ensure meeting cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Monitor capacity of logistics and undertake proactive actions when required
Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries
Ensure un-interrupted, efficient, and consistent supply of all products to all stores by ensuring that sufficient levels of safety stocks are achieved and maintained at all times as per Majed for Oud?s pre-set levels
Research the ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers to implement them
Work with other departments at Almajed For Oud to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
Ensure that any special, large or complex shipments arrive safely and on time
Recommend updates to equipment and vehicles that will improve supply flow and delivery time
Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement of products in and out of the warehouses
Ensure supply contingency plans are in place and that they are tested and understood by responsible parties
Oversee the implementation of Logistics policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity, ensuring all relevant procedural/statutory requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
Lead and direct change management through continuous improvement of Logistics systems, processes and practices, proactively taking into account leading practices, changes in the business environment
Oversee the development and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other functions
Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Logistics Department
Guide, mentor and develop the Logistics department team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
Identify and recruit key talent for Logistics department
Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to top management
Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise direct reports, and provide regular feedback on performance
Establish a high-performance working environment within the Logistics department
