They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.SUMMARY:A major mining customer has engaged Bechtel M&M to assist them with the development of a Master Plan for their future mining metals projects. They are targeting a major increase in production which will require major exploration and project development activity and will be managed under an overall Master Plan.M&M requires an experienced Lead Planner to manage the development of this Master Plan. This is a short-term position of approx. 12 weeks duration which may lead to further long-term work. The Master Plan is to be developed with the customer in their Middle East offices. The role may be on a short-term assignment basis in the customer?s offices or a combination of business trips and remote work.The Lead Planner is responsible for the set-up of the Master Plan incorporating input from the customer, Bechtel SME?s and selected consultants. A key element of the role is to lead the team in development of the Master Plan, interfacing across organizations, departments, disciplines (engineering, procurement and construction), and presenting to Bechtel and customer Project Management Teams, so excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. The Lead Planner will be responsible for reporting on the Master Plan development and ensuring quality and consistency across all parts of the Master Plan. The Lead Planner will demonstrate skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing workable solutions to planning and scheduling problems.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Defines project needs for the Master Planning in accordance with established Bechtel and client strategy, contractual requirements and objectives.
2. Provides supervision and assistance to other team members in the development and integration of information into the Master Plan.
3. Develops a schedule for the Master Plan development.
4. Coordinates, and maintains the level of quantification appropriate to the objectives of the effort and to the level of scope definition for each discipline or specialty.
5. Collects, verifies, and integrates work scope for all entities into the Master Plan.
6. Reviews the representation of the contract scope in the Master Plan.
7. Prepares and analyzes comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between reference projects.
8. Supervises/directs, reviews, maintains, and evaluates schedule durations for activities relative to the support of customer project development milestones.
9. Identifies requirements for micro schedules in order to manage critical elements of the work. Including various work streams within the Master Plan.
10. Reviews vendor / subcontractor schedules for current Ma?aden projects to be incorporated into the Master Plan.
11. Performs project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
12. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.
13. Develops and reports critical-path and schedule performance of the total project.
14. Interfaces with designated Bechtel management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks
15. Supports development of other personnel during the Master Planning activity.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

• Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
• Extensive planning experience in Mining & Metals or related industry.
• Has a successful track record of leading teams and inter-discipline coordination.
• Skilled in oral and written communication (English language) and presentations of schedule materials.
• Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes for EPCM & EPC direct hire projects.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision.
• Advanced user of Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office applications.
