SAMI was established in May 2017 to develop the military industrial infrastructure necessary to help the Saudi Vision 2030 aim of localizing military spending to at least 50% by the end of the decade. It commenced operations in January 2018. SAMI is working with numerous Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and local contractors to establish the military industrial infrastructure across the Kingdom. It is organized into 5 Divisions: Aeronautics, Defense Electronics, Land Systems, Weapons & Missiles and Emerging Technologies; Naval interests are covered within the Weapons & Missiles portfolio. Bechtel was contracted in August 2020 to provide a Facility Management Team (FMT) to develop and implement a Facility Masterplan to help align SAMI`s programs. This has led to the opportunity to provide a Project Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) team (approximately 90 strong) to manage the design and construction of a major military industrial facility located in Al Kharj over the next 3-4 years.Position requires individual to be assigned to project as part of the Contracts group reporting to the Contracts ManagerCandidate will be working as part of an integrated project team and be capable of working with a diverse workforce.Candidate will be required to work incoordination with other departments (engineering, procurement, construction, estimating, and scheduling) to help with Prime Contract administration.Job ResponsibilitiesActs on own initiative on assigned contracts of increasing value and complexityGathers and compiles support data for the preparation of documents and the administration of contractsAssists Contract Manager or more senior Contract Administrators in completion of the various administrative tasks required by Standard Work Process and ProceduresMonitors areas of subcontract performance, as assignedConducts investigations and inquiries into specific contracts problems, as assignedOrganizes materials for the preparation of meetings, presentations and training sessionsAssists in the preparation of periodic status reports?Job QualificationsBachelor?s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other industry related field along with 3+ years of experienceOR?inlieu of a degree, a minimum of 7+ years relevant work experience is required.Basic knowledge of procurement regulations, policies and practices.Specialized courses or experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting.Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices and policies, procedures and work practices.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.Experience in administering different contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms.Assignment Location: Riyadh/Al-Kharj ?
