Job Description

Applications are invited for the position of ?Specialist?, IT at Niagara College KSA ?Corporate Office? in Riyadh. Reporting to the ?Senior Manager, Quality and Systems?, the ?IT Specialist? is responsible for supporting IT operations, infrastructure, servers, and the coordination of central functions in KSA by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, building innovative solutions, and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure a high level of IT security and confidentiality. The Specialist, IT will also develop and document procedures, provide staff training, coordinate awareness sessions, provide hardware and software support, and ensure adherence to service standards as outlined in NC KSA agreements with service providers.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the entire IT functionality for NC KSA operations (Corporate and associated NC KSA projects) including maintenance, training, consultation, and recommendations for future planning and development of innovative systems.ÿ
  • Develop service level agreements and ensure that external service providers adhere to service standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support in installing and maintaining IT equipment in the corporate office and across all NC KSA campuses/projects.
  • Establish a network disaster recovery plan in coordination with the network specialist.ÿ
  • Monitor the use of email and create and change passwords.ÿ
  • Oversee data storage and retrieval systems for all operations.ÿ
  • Recommend upgrades or patches for both applications and equipment.ÿ
  • Evaluate, design, implement, and maintain software to meet the current goals, both enterprise and academic in coordination with the Senior Manager, Quality and Systems.ÿ
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document related problems.ÿ
  • Assist in planning, evaluating, and selecting new hardware and software.ÿ
  • Support IT projects and initiatives associated with data security, privacy, and confidentiality.ÿ
  • Respond to various problems and coordinate with operations or technical staff to effect solutions or enhance systems performance.ÿ
  • Communicate effectively and timeously with internal and external stakeholders.ÿ
  • Travel regularly to NC KSA campuses/projects to ensure compliance with NS KSA procedures and service standards and provide guidance to local IT staff.
