To establish the investment risk team to be able support the business in the investment strategy (Pre-Acquisition and Post-Acquisition), that is in line with the company strategy.Client DetailsOur client focuses on the technology sector and, more specifically, egaming. They are a focused on driving the long term growth and development of esports and the games industry globally.DescriptionDevelop an Investment Risk Policy and procedure.Develop a checklist and due diligence requirements from risk perspective.Due diligence of new fund managers or other third parties / consultants.New Investments:Participate in the due diligence process (financial, operational, commercial, tax and legal) for any new investment.Challenges the Base case from the Investment Team and the valuations assumptions.Work closely with the Investment Team during the new investment process (including to develop mitigation strategies for the deals critical risks).Prepare a Risk Memo for the Investment Committee and defend the risk case.Portfolio Monitoring:Continuous oversight of risk profile of the different investments and investment portfolio.Define and develop risk assessment and quantification methodologies (e.g. Risk Scoring, Value at Risk) for the investment portfolio.Establish a solid relationship with the Investment Team and the portfolio companies and a data/ indicator gathering mechanism.In line with the Finance valuation process, review the valuation of the portfolio companies and provide an independent view on these.ProfileThe successful candidate will be strong in Investment Risk with a strong understanding of M&A activities within the technology sector. Strong leadership skills and management skills are required. At least 10 years of progressive experience within investment risk at a senior level. Masters degree is preferred.
