Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring application of engineering principles and technology
Advise all project personnel and subcontractors regarding safe working practices and to develop safety plans, emergency plans, HSE reports, risk assessments, EHSE manuals as per industry standards
Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
Provide EHSE technical support to project team
Implement immediate corrective action regarding non-compliance with Project Safety Program and/or local codes and regulations.
Receive all safety related correspondence and copies of all accident reports.
Assist all contractors and their subcontractors in pre-planning their operation to prevent personal injury and property damage.
Conduct safety pre-construction meetings and pre-work meetings.
Develop materials and methodologies to promote safety awareness on projects and throughout the organization
Ensure that every employee is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe way in accordance policies & procedures.
Ensure preparation and implementation of Project Safety and Health Plan
Ensure that authorized programs of accident prevention and emergency evacuation are in place
Conduct site safety inspection regularly
Manage and monitor new hire safety orientation program and provide ongoing job specific safety training.
The provision of technical advice to management as required.
Ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with Company policies & procedures, under the direction of the reporting manager.
Responsible for being the onsite safety expert, training the construction/ project personnel and enforce field safety.
Continuously provide specialist advice & education on safety matters to all project personnel.
Make sure that the construction site is maintained in a clean and tidy state
Expected to monitor safety procedures, determine cause of unsafe condition through procedure review, equipment and facilities inspection, and worker observation with corrective action recommendations provided.
Liaise with the project site staff and ensure that uniform high standards are maintained across all the works.
Ensure that works are carried out in a safe manner
Review the client?s/ contractor?s safety plan and monitor compliance with the plan.
Inspect the site conditions to ensure safe traffic conditions
Ensure that the safety of the public including the visitors is not jeopardized.
Coordinate safety programs and with outside organizations
Exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
Compile, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to near-miss, incidents, injuries and illnesses.
Participate in fact finding Root Cause Analysis for injury/incident investigations and obtain accident and injury reports from jobsite.
Promote safety awareness and accident prevention measures to secure a safe place of work
