Roles & ResponsibilitiesTransport goods safely and efficiently over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck, noting and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.Maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery schedules, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements.Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.Desired Candidate ProfileHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional courses in logistics or transportation are a plus.Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; endorsements for specific vehicle types are desirable.Minimum of 10 years of experience driving heavy trucks in a commercial setting, preferably in long-haul transport.Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance standards.
