˙˙JOB PURPOSEThe position is responsible for providing off-site corrective & preventative maintenance along with other after-sales technical support solutions in order to maintain and rectify machinery that has been sold. Additionally, the Service Technician will need to communicate with consumers to provide information and instructions on how to handle their questions, issues, and requests.˙˙JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES˙1-Technical Diagnostics and Repairs Diagnose the faults and recommend repair solutions to Regional Service Manager. Create effective technical reports on failure analysis, warranty and provide to the Regional Service Manager. To be able to operate all equipment and fully understand its function in order to evaluate performance and determine if a problem exists or not. Interpret service and parts manuals as well as schematics / diagrams for application to the repair plan. Advise customers on equipment operations and preventive maintenance.2-Compliance with Service Policies and Procedures Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company occupational health and safety regulation and with relevant environmental standards. Follow company uniform (dressing code) and safety gears at all times. Carry out repairs as per industry and supplier-prescribed standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and workshop floor.˙3-Technical Skills Development Have a full understanding of all machine systems and identify problems using the necessary electronic and mechanical tools as per supplier?s instructions. Compliance with Technician Career Development Plan (TCDP). To assist in the training and development of Trainees, Mechanics and electricians through On Job Training and coordinate progress with Supervisors and the service development team. Have comprehensive knowledge on both the mechanical and electrical aspects of the machinery and equipment.4-Utilizaiton / Productivity / Efficiency Carry out repairs to equipment in minimum possible time and minimum number of trips to customers? sites and alternatively within the company workshop.
