SummaryPerforms technical laboratory duties as well as basic data analysis in support of a research project and part of a scientific team and trains students.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Conducts tests and experiments and data collection to support research activities.2. Carries out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies according to established protocols and procedures.3. Performs data analysis using software programs.4. Operates and maintains laboratory instruments. Follows all laboratory safety rules and regulations.5. Maintains experimental data and laboratory reports/procedures.EducationBachelor of Science (BSc), or Associate Degree Diploma from an accredited institution in a scientific discipline relevant to the research field is required.Experience RequiredTwo (2) years of related experience with a Bachelor Degree or four (4) years with an Associate Degree required.Other Requirements(Certificates)-Evidence of excellent level of technical, communication and computer skills and accomplishments that need to be described and scored by immediate supervisor in the Scientific Scoring Form.-Proof of working knowledge in safety measures such as biological, radiological, and/or chemical in the form of certificates.
