Job Description

Main role:Ensure that food products are safe to consume and that all facilities are compliant with local and international food safety standards.Duties and responsibilities:Operational Duties:

  • Conduct internal audits through scheduled and unscheduled inspections of all business units, as assigned by the QM.
  • Take photographs, films, or audio or visual recordings during the inspections for official record?keeping.
  • Conduct follow?up inspections to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
  • Compile and issue internal audit reports, as per company SOP.
  • Conducting supplier audits for compliance with ISO 22000 and other food safety norms.
  • Manage and maintain an effective pest control program.
  • Manage and maintain a satisfactory waste disposal system.
  • Review and follow up on the microbiological results from the food laboratory.
  • Manage and maintain the traceability system established.
  • Manage and review food complaints effectively.
  • Manage and maintain food safety documentation and records.
  • Conduct training in food safety and hygiene for the food handlers.
  • Coordinate with the local authorities when required for inquiries on violations, clarification with regards to food safety standards etc.
  • Coordinate with third parties with regards to ISO 22000 compliance requirements, HACCP training etc.
Accountabilities:
  • Responsible to complete the audit inspections and issuing the reports on time.
  • Responsible to maintain proper records for all food safety activities.
  • Responsible for proper management of pest control, waste disposal, lab testing and proper training of the staff.
