Job Description

The PositionFinance Director Pharma Saudi ArabiaBased in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and reporting to the General Manager, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team (LT). You will be a strategic thought partner for the LT as well as provide strategic direction to the Disease Area Teams. You will be jointly accountable for the Affiliate transformation, fostering an environment that promotes trust, psychological safety, transparency, and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adopt an agile way of working in service of value creation and better patient outcomes.As a natural leader and coach with a strong entrepreneurial mindset who can influence and enable decisions, you will thrive in a fast-paced high-performing environment where you can and will challenge the status quo, and be challenged.In this position, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial results of the affiliate and lead the Business finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, reporting and tax, credit management & collections, indirect procurement and IT.Your financial responsibilities can be categorized as:Finance and Insights

  • Ensures quality of financial transactions recording and reporting both to Group and Statutory
  • Support our people to sense and respond, by translating data into actionable insights
  • Proactively identify key challenges and opportunities and assess their impact on the organization
  • Drives process standardization, automation and integration with all relevant functions and stakeholders
Long-term portfolio planning and resourcing strategy
  • Drive a simple and fit-for-purpose business planning process that captures key strategic directions
  • Formulate a local finance strategy balancing global/regional requirements with local imperatives
  • Engage with business partners in crafting and executing value enhancing decisions through business performance
  • Guide the business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information
Business partnership (including internal and external stakeholder management and business development)
  • Define in collaboration with business leaders the strategic direction of the organization
  • Stimulate an environment to support smart experiments, rapid iterations and ability to scale
  • Network and collaborate across borders to build a strong network beyond Pharma Finance Saudi] to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers
  • Oversee the Business partnering function to integrate within the organization, support the transformation agenda and enable strategic decision making and
  • Develop financial strategies that ensure compliance, and enable the delivery of more medicines to patients faster
  • Play an active role in organization strategic initiatives to help drive negotiations, business sustainability, country vision and business development

  • Leverage Visionary, architect, coach & catalyst leadership principles to enable diverse teams to contribute to organizational and enterprise outcomes and impact.
  • Cultivate a focus on personal development whilst creating and nurturing a winning team through coaching and leadership
  • Shape and implement the new agile ways of working for the team, whilst contributing to the affiliate transformation journey
  • Promotes teamwork, transparent communication and feedback culture and shares clear performance expectations
Qualifications:To be successful in this application, our new lead will have a minimum 10 years of finance experience, with 10 years of finance experience with time spent in a leadership position; a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or University Degree/MBA and a proven record of ensuring financial governance and a strong network with the internal and external financial communities. You are a curious leader that is comfortable to contribute also outside your core expertise.Furthermore you will demonstrate:
