Job Description

The Event Manager is responsible for all Managerial and operational aspects of all events within ALEF portfolio, making sure events are delivered on time and to budget. Also ensuring all quality standards and service levels are achieved.??Responsibilities:?

  • Provide input during the development of the sections strategy, goals, initiatives, and plans, and monitor their execution.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to site management, production management, hospitality services & venue management services.
  • Manage day-to-day activities and operations, recommend potential improvements, and ensure proper documentation and implementation of all policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget, including all financial and human resources requirements for the section.
  • Monitor the operational performance of the section, compare them to the established objectives and goals and report results accordingly.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and support to employees in the execution of their work and ensure proper knowledge transfer to develop them and improve their performance.
  • Ensure the effective planning of operational requirements for events as per the approved events calendar.
  • Deliver successful, well executed events on time and within budget, ensuring all quality standards and service levels are achieved.
  • Deliver on, or produce, detailed technical rider for all event productions and in accordance with show requirements.
  • Work with Procurement and Finance to negotiate Framework Agreements with vendors, whilst optimizing resources through cost reduction measures.
  • Establish, implement and review a comprehensive event-planning matrix for all events delivered, as it relates to event operations.
  • Establish and ensure ongoing adherence, assessment and review of emergency services.
  • Traffic Management Planning & Implementation (including oversight of all parking related responsibilities).
  • Identify suitable product and service providers to deliver objectives as stipulated in business plan.
