Manage the translation of developments in architecture into opportunities and threats to the client organization to ensure the organization is adaptable to internal and external changes.
Continuously interrogate the evolving and IT strategies to understand the long- and medium-term expectations of IT Architecture.
Create and maintain an inventory of the technology portfolio, while understanding the purpose and rationale across the technology inventory, to ensure accurate documentation and preservation of all IT assets
Creates the technology annual planning and transition states/architecture per technology based on various inputs like BT and Business Strategies
Manage the development of roadmaps, policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology networks within the client organization to ensure optimum utilization of IT assets.
Ensure that designs are compliant with architecture guidelines, business continuity and compliance strategies to guarantee adherence to all internal and external IT requirements.
Act as a custodian of IT architecture capability and capacity development as well as the governance.
Promote well integrated infrastructure and applications, to help reduce costs and improve the flow of information.
Work with solutions architect(s) and service managers on a continuous basis, to provide a consensus-based solution that is scalable, adaptable
Authorize, manage and log architectural exceptions. Drive convergence to stated policy.
Bring together architects and designers from various domains/disciplines involved, including service enablement, information security, infrastructure, on a regular basis to ensure a uniform understanding of architecture designs, integration, design operating procedures and governance requirements.
Facilitate the sharing of best practice architecture techniques and manage the identification of improvement opportunities in design and architecture, to provide continuous and flawless IT operations.
Facilitate the decision-making process for new designs/changes having significant impact from an architecture perspective
Manage the process of defining and setting the standards for managing architecture requirements
Facilitate the resolution of issues around resource/architect allocation to projects to ensure the provision of the needed knowledge in a timely manner.
Manage the alignment between the Solutions Architects and the Business Analysts to fully understand the Business Requirements
