Job Description

Our client˙a market leader in unifying corporate, non-profit, and governmental sectors is seeking a Director of˙Advocacy to be responsible for the successful implementation of the organizations advocacy projects. Lead the advocacy team in the process of developing, implementing, and monitoring the associations? advocacy strategy and feeding into the broader strategic vision.

  • Analyse and track national policy and framework updates.
  • Set clear roles and responsibilities for the stakeholders? involvement in advocacy services and work plans when and where relevant.
  • High-level responsibility for work initiatives including convening and managing advocacy strategy key activities.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with government officials.
  • Representing the organization in advocacy activities such as meetings, inquiries, and conferences.
  • Utilizing the outcomes of policy research and development to support the advocacy efforts.
  • Support relationships with policymakers.
  • Represent at events as needed, and partner with outside vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Develop and utilize advocacy channels to achieve relevant advocacy objectives.
  • Initiate and maintain strategic relations with governmental entities and other relevant departments, as necessary.
  • Build partnerships and coordinate work with other networks in the Kingdom and beyond to maximize the chance of securing advocacy wins per the strategic objectives and designated ministries.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with ministries staff to ensure effective collaboration and implementation of strategy and build public support for the strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain clear lines of communication with advocates and key stakeholders with different governmental entities and use this to inform our work.
