alfanar has a development and engineering center in Chennai, India.Industrial Complex, RiyadhThe center of alfanar?s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar?s facilities.The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.Job PurposeThis Position exists to perform product designing, prototyping and testing activities efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.Functional Responsibilities
  • Concept development of component / new product / improvement in existing component or product
  • ID proposals mockup sample for approvals
  • Prepare project charter and product development plan
  • Checking manufacturing feasibility by considering mold design and progressive die layout.
  • Proto assembly and field trial (if applicable)
  • Detailed 3D modelling and 2D drawings in SAP ECTR. BOM creation, Tolerance stackup analysis and conformance of design outputs to meet design inputs.
  • Release of Models / Drawings for Mfg. for In-house Comp, B/O item
  • Packaging Development - Prod. Packing, Prod. Leaflet,- Prod. Catalogue
  • Pilot lot Production and assembly trial reports
  • Life cycle management of all existing products, change management and associated actions
  • Ensure safe and healthy work atmosphere, Maintain 6S in work area and following good safeety housekeeping practices in the department Design Office and Stores
  • Preparing the proto assembly, display boards and functional demo samples as per design requirement.
  • Monitoring new product assembly trials, production support during NPD pilot lot, checking preliminary test on prototype and finished product.
  • Organizing material properly in design storage location (tested samples, competitor samples, and trial samples)
  • Arranging material from the production / stores; facilitate inventory counting and scraping of material
  • Preparing and maintaining the documents as per NPD stage gate deliverables and keeping records in designated places
General ResponsibilitiesTraining of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work. Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment. Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates. Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules. Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time. Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks. Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues. Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities. Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible. Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions. Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.QualificationDiploma Degree in DesignExperience4 to 6 YearsSkillsSafetyDesign ToolsProcess DesignProduct Design
