The role ensures that proactive, strategic support is provided to the LOC so that issues are managed well, and GSK?s interests are represented well within the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia. Your responsibilities: Contribute to the development and execution of marketing (product/commercial) and wider corporate external communications plans that supports near-term business objectives and builds Trust in the longer-term. Understand who are the key influencers and what they are thinking, how they interconnect and therefore with whom and how we should connect. Opinion formers including the media, government and third sector organisations all talk to and influence each other and increasingly across national boundaries. It is important to be close to what they are saying but also understand the influencing networks. Understand how our Commercial, R&D and Supply Chain strategy can and should support public policy and meet public or private health needs. Track and interpret economic, political, societal and market trends and feed this into the evolving commercial strategy (e.g. developments in regulatory, pricing and access systems). Establish good understanding of regulatory, pricing and access policy to identify commercial opportunities. Engage proactively in the health policy debate with various stakeholders internally and externally. CGA Director are considered a critical stakeholder in supporting the Market Access process. Act as a custodian of GSK?s brand and reputation. Demonstrate Courage including a willingness to take smart risks. This means proactively identifying risks, opportunities and future trends with a short and long term view. Find ways to share these insights and influence decision-making in the company. Brief the outside when a cultural shift is required whereby the whole business thinks about the reputational and external aspects to all activity. CGA is not simply about managing issues when they arise. Ensure GSK?s purpose, strategy, priorities, expectations and values are well communicated and embedded internally with the right support provided to leaders and spokespeople to communicate more autonomously but still effectively. Aid the cohesion in GSK, often quickly connecting those who need to be involved in an issue and stimulating faster decision-making with an eye to the demands of the external environment and the interests and perspectives of the enterprise as a whole. Drive a Business First mindset as we seek to drive a cultural change in GSK. They should support change in the organization with effective communication. Facilitate the sharing of best practice, knowledge and skills within the function and between Local and Global in GSK. Why you? Basic Qualifications: Saudi National Bachelors degree in Pharmacy. MBA is considered a plus. Fluent written & spoken English language skills 10 years+ of progressive experience within the pharmaceutical industry in Government Affairs, Regulatory or relevant roles Internal/ External Communication experience is preferred Demonstrated people management skills & a track record of developing other leaders Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation techniques Ability to work effectively within a complex matrix of relationships and issues Proven ability to influence others at both peer and senior levels within and outside the organization High ethical and Integrity standards & a commitment to diversity & inclusion Effectively manage cultural diversity and differences between working procedures of internal and external stakeholders. Change management leadership with a particular focus on capability building and embedding the knowledge in the business Governance expertise Strong self-direction and self-motivation Proven ability in transparent and timely project reporting and project management. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a complex and fast-moving environment with multiple priorities. Ability to connect with and influence business stakeholders at all levels.
