Job SummaryÿResponsible to provide patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privilege of both In-patients and Out- patients maintaining an appropriate quality plan using measurable performance improvement standards in the field of Radiology. Responsible for the care of patients whilst undergoing radiological procedures. He shall perform his duties in accordance with.

1. Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards.
2. Hospital medical by-laws
3. ÿLaws of Ministry of Health in kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according with hospital quality plan.

• Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
• Responsible to carry out their duties and responsibilities with the Health and Safety Policies and statutory regulations.
• Responsible to participate services as well as in the routine and emergency diagnostic radiology work load.
• Responsible and required to promote and support the mission and vision of service which they are responsible.
• Responsible to provide care and treat patients with courteousness and respectful manner.
• Ensure the ongoing confidence of the public in-service provision.
• Responsible to responds to emergencies offer advice and actively participate with problems if required, related to his / her field of specialty and to offer the best available imaging modality.
• Responsible to practices within the framework of clinical privilege of both In-patients and Out-patients.
• Responsible to assess and referred appropriate patients under his /her medical care to other appropriate medical facilities as well as accepting referrals of patients with medical problems in his / her field of specialty.
• ÿResponsible to assess, evaluate and documented the findings of all Radiographs (X-ray reports) on a day to day basis.
• ÿResponsible to skillfully performs and reports on fluoroscopic vascular or other diagnostic procedures.
• ÿResponsible to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on his /her patients within the range of specialty.
• Responsible to perform Special Procedures e.g. MRI and CT cases.
• ÿResponsible to perform non-interventional imaging procedures.
• Responsible to perform routine ultrasound cases and delivers a written report of the findings.
• Responsible to seek the advice or help of the Head Department whenever the condition of patient merits further expertise.
• Responsible to prepare all medical diagnosis report related to the patients and must be approved it as soon as possible thru PACs system.
• ÿAssumes on active part in the On-call duty rotations in the department.
• Actively participates in departments and educational training activities.
• ÿResponsible to know and abides department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and regulations.
• ÿResponsible to perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of employees knowledge, skills and abilities.
• ÿResponsible to performs additional tasks and as assigned by Head Dept.
• Responsible to provide consultation to medical staff on diagnostic plans and priorities. Supervises the various scanning techniques assigned to him.
• ÿResponsible to perform specialized procedures independently commensurate to his experience and skills according to department protocols.
• ÿResponsible to seize every opportunity to discuss theoretical and technical aspects of radiology with Head Department.
• Responsible to seek the advice and guidance of Head Department radiologist whenever the condition of patient merits further expertise.
• ÿResponsible to reports on X-ray procedures and scans in a systematic informative and conclusive manner.
• ÿResponsible to supervise the junior staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the Head Dept.
• Provides a clinical follow up of patient progress and management as requested by Head Department.
• Responsible to shares and participates in department?s educational and training activities.
• ÿResponsible to know and abides the Policies and procedures of the Radiology Department and Riyadh Care Hospital by-laws and Rules and regulations.
• Responsible to work within the trust clinical governance framework and GMC guidance.
• Responsible to perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee?s knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Responsible to adhere to required continuing medical education and to ensure that all skills and expertise are maintained.
• ÿResponsible to fully participate in medical and multi-professional clinical audit and is expected to develop research interest relevant to this post.
• Responsible to participate actively in teaching under graduate and post graduate students as well as staff in related disciplines and to cooperate with colleagues in developing local educational program.
• ÿResponsible to take part in the annual appraisal programmed and job plan review. Adhere to equality and good relations duties throughout the course of their employment.
• ÿResponsible to maintain high standards of personal accountability.
• Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record.
• They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education.
• Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care.
• Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients? developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations.
• ÿAllots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
