SummaryResponsible to provides quality care for a wide range of developmental disorders, which may include: Developmental Disabilities such as: Autism Spectrum Disorders, cerebral palsy, Spina Bifida, Intellectual Disability and visual and hearing impairment in accordance with the current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Hospital policies and procedures.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Provides outpatient care, teachingand support to children and families with developmental, behavioral, physicalor communication needs.2. Attention and behaviour Disorderinclude: a DHD and associated condition, Developmental delay in speech,language motor skills and thinking abilities learning disorder, regulatorydisorders including sleep disorders, feeding problems and disciplinedifficulties, Ticks Tourette Syndrome.3. Conductes developmental evaluationfor children who have global developmental delay or specific delay in one ofthe developmental areas.4. Use special instruments andqualitative assessment methods, including standardized test, to analyse anddiagnose the nature and extent of impairment.5. Develops management plan forchildren with disabilities and collaborate with other professionals to ensurethe provision of optimum care for children with disabilities and theirfamilies.6. Supports patients with developmentaland behavioral difficulties by working closely with preschools, schools, andother agencies involved with developmental care and education.EducationGraduation from a medical school in good standing, completion of required period of postgraduate training in a specialty and/or subspecialty, with Saudi/American Board or Canadian/UK certification, or equivalent as outlined by the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee.Experience RequiredAt least seven (7) years of training in specialty or subspecialty plus postgraduate training experience must be equal to or exceed seven (7) years? experience in the subspecialty is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Updated knowledge of evidence base evaluation methods and intervention approaches for children with developmental disabilities.
