PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:ÿConfiguration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) specialists are responsible for developing software. This position have a variety of responsibilities, including: recommending solutions to meet customers needs; planning and coordinating configuration activities; maintaining deadlines; developing improvements to increase efficiency; determining requirements of various systems; training staff and management regarding configuration ÿpolicies; developing ÿtools to support ÿmanagement and ÿconfiguration; following ÿcompany policies at all times; resolving issues in a timely manner; assisting with configuration audits; creating and maintainingdocumentation ÿregarding ÿconfiguration ÿmanagement;identifying ÿerrors; ÿtroubleshooting networks and security issues; and training all necessary personnel.Candidates for this position should be highly analytical, expert problem-solvers, and proficient communicators, as CM/DM specialists must often explain highly technical aspects to individuals who may not understand technical terms.ÿPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:ÿ? ÿBe fully familiar with the C4I System concept and its equipment, facilities and installations in use at the different mobile and fix sites at the Arm forces or any military environment.? ÿBe capable to write and Implement Configuration Management/Data Management Plan based on MIL? STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.? ÿBe proficient in implementing a Configuration Management System (CMS) based on MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.? ÿDefine, implement, and review all the related CM/DM processes and procedures as per CM Standard (MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649) which are used to manage the different configuration of the MOD C4I System.? ÿBe capable of instructing military personnel and producing training material and provide On- the-Job training in Configuration systems and tool to support the system.? ÿExperience ÿand ÿunderstand ÿthe ÿinterrelations between ÿspecifications, drawings, technical ÿorders, logistics data, and operations manuals? ÿExperience with Cmstat-PDMPlus, IBM-ClearCase and IBM-DOORS tools.? ÿPractical experience ÿin performing configuration Audit ÿboth ÿPhysical Configuration/ ÿFunctionalConfiguration Audit? ÿCreate specification change packages for distribution.? ÿBe capable of writing Engineering Change Proposals based on MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.? ÿGenerate and Provide Change Status Accounting? ÿIdentify and input Configuration Data into Cmstat-PDMPlus tool? ÿPrepare and manage Hardware Change Requests/Software Change Requests/ Documentation ChangeRequest? ÿAttend Change Review Board Meetings? ÿBe fully capable of performing impact Assessment for all engineering Changes and shall identifying related system Artifacts affected by a proposed change.? ÿPrepare Agendas for the Change Review Board?ÿPrepare Engineering ÿChange Packages for Change Review Board?ÿPrepare minutes of the Change Review Board?ÿBe ÿcapable ÿof ÿIncorporating ÿSpecificationChanges(SoftwareRequirementSpecificationsandHardware Specifications).
