Job Description

As a Civil Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, designing, and execution of various civil engineering projects. You will work closely with engineers and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects within the specified timelines and budget constraints.Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other structures.
  2. Conduct site visits to collect data, perform measurements, and assess the feasibility of proposed projects.
  3. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  4. Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
  5. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure project designs meet the required standards and regulations.
  6. Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
  7. Perform quality control tests to ensure the integrity and durability of construction materials and structures.
  8. Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the construction phase.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
  10. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in civil engineering.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience working as a Civil Technician or a similar role.
  3. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering software.
  4. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Familiarity with local regulations and building codes.
