Overview of the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our construction project team. The Civil Engineer will assist in the design, planning, and management of various civil engineering tasks related to construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience in civil engineering practices.Key responsibilities and accountabilities Assist in Project Planning and Design:o Support in the preparation of design plans, technical drawings, and construction specifications for civil engineering projects.o Contribute to feasibility studies, site assessments, and engineering calculations & SOWConstruction Oversight:o Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.o Participate in inspections, quality control, and progress reporting to senior engineers and project managers.o Identify potential design or construction issues and provide solutions to senior team members. Material and Equipment Coordination:o Assist in the coordination of material deliveries and equipment usage.o Ensure materials and construction methods comply with project specifications and local regulations. Documentation and Reporting:o Maintain accurate project documentation, including site records, reports, and as-built drawings.o Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports summarizing project progress, and any engineering challenges encountered.Collaboration with Project Teams:o Communicate effectively with construction crews, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.o Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions on project design, scope, and construction methodologies.Regulatory Compliance:o Assist in ensuring that the project adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations related to civil engineering and construction standards.o Support the development and implementation of safety plans and ensure that safety protocols are followed on-site.
