Job Description

Key responsibilities and accountabilities As part of MBC group expansion plan in Riyadh, KSA. The role of Category Manager will support the company?s vision and business objectives with procurement strategies that are focused on creating business value.What you?ll do:

  • Develop, communicate and implement category plans and strategies including initiative plans to optimize business efficiency.
  • Achieve the category of vision in a sustainable way while staying in tight alignment with business objectives and priorities.
  • Lead category plan development through decision making based on research and insights. Analyze and interpret data to enable the development and implementation of the most appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Perform procurement reporting and analysis of management information to identify potential improvement opportunities.
  • Provide assistance to MBC group?s acquisition strategies by completing the due diligence and integration activities for the spend categories.
  • Understand global spending and identify opportunities to increase quality and improve value for money.
  • Explore partnership opportunities with other vendors and build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Determine and continually monitor the current supply market position in the specific category spend area to identify both over and under capacity.
  • Implement both supplier rationalization programmes and strategies to develop new sources of supply as appropriate to optimize competition.
  • Measure and monitor performance by evaluating the effectiveness of strategies and adjusting to match maximize business value.
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for complex equipment/services sourcing projects.
  • Make fast fact based decisions on which strategies would drive the most value for the organization.
