Job Description

Applications are invited for the position of Counselor, Career at Niagara College KSA. Reporting to the Manager, Project, the Counselor, Career is responsible for enhancing career counselling through the provision of career counselling services within universities to align education outcomes with the labor market needs and to enable male and female students to identify professional development skills.Niagara College KSA has many vacancies for this position across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Makkah, Madina, Al Qassim, Eastern Province, Tabuk, Hail, Northern Boarders Province, Al Jowf, Aseer, Al Bahah, Jazan, and Najran). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Enhance career counselling through the provision of career counselling services within universities to align education outcomes with the labor market needs and to enable male and female students to identify professional development skills
  • Develop students career planning skills and help them make appropriate educational and professional decisions to get a job
  • Help students through workshops and group and individual career counseling sessions in knowing their personal and professional tendencies, identify job opportunities appropriate to their preferences and compatible with their university majors, identify the labor market needs of professions and skills, identify personal and professional development opportunities, and assist them in early planning for getting a job
  • Provide counselling services such as professional development plans, CV writing consultations, job interview consultations, methods of searching for a job, analysis of professional standards, and professional development and career preparation consultations.
  • Help male and female graduates who benefit from workshops and career counseling sessions to know their personal and professional tendencies and capabilities, identify job opportunities appropriate to their preferences and compatible with their university majors, review the labor market and know its needs to help them develop their personal and professional skills, identify personal and professional development opportunities, and help them plan for getting a job and acquiring job readiness skills
  • Visit and contact universities, colleges, and institutes in the concerned region to activate the initiative of career counselling centers in universities and provide counseling sessions and career counselling workshops
