The JobJob Responsibilities:General Overview: As a Buyer within the Procurement and Material Team (PMT), your primary responsibility is to ensure that all purchasing activities align with the Companys Policies and Procedures. You will play a crucial role in coordinating internal interfaces, managing vendor relationships, conducting RFQ processes, and overseeing the procurement lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Internal Collaboration:Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management Teams, QA/QC, Accounting, and Proposals.Research potential vendors and ensure the RFQ process is fair, open, and ethical.RFQ Management:Review Material Requisitions and maintain a comprehensive file.Timely issuance of RFQs to appropriate vendors and maintenance of RFQ log.Ensure timely receipt of vendor offers and distribution of technical offers to reviewers.Commercial Negotiation:Maintain confidentiality of commercial information within the Procurement Group.Conduct commercial negotiations with vendors and prepare accurate Commercial Bid Evaluations (CBE).Bid Evaluation and Recommendation:Review Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE) and Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for internal approval.Prepare recommendations for the award before releasing the Purchase Order.Record Keeping and Coordination:Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.Interface externally with vendors, sub-vendors, and clients as required.Track orders and ensure timely delivery, coordinating with warehouse staff for proper storage.Vendor Management:Pre-qualify vendors as needed to obtain internal and client approval for new vendors.Ideal CandidateRequirements:Proven work experience as a Buyer or similar role.Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices, supply chain procedures, and negotiation skills.Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.Diploma in Engineering.Ref: 9ODH3CET4A Company Profile Snaphunt is a specialist recruiting platform that takes the pain out of hiring and job searching.
