Be an integral part of the software development life cycle, from gathering and documenting specifications through programming and managing testing and delivery.
Analyze the structure of the ministry?s business requirements, how it uses technology and what its goals are
Identify problems within the ministry, by meeting with stakeholders and examining existing infrastructure and solutions
Communicate with senior people at the ministry to find out what they hope to achieve and any data requirements they might need to formulate the business case
Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems as well as the acquisition of data
Run workshops and training sessions
Use advanced models and/or tools to extract any requested data (from data scientists, BI specialists or other data users)
Perform initial analysis to assess the quality of the data (throughout the data acquisition process) and cleanse data
Work with databases (SQL, mySQL), and other file formats (XML, JSON, or ETL frameworks) and its correlation to the UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience)
Perform further analysis to determine and document the metadata of datasets
Prepare reports based on analysis of data and present results to leadership
