SummaryProvides medical staff with intuitive training and technical support related to Robotic-Assisted Surgery Systems. Develops technical proficiency with all aspects of the installation, operation, maintenance, system upgrades and replacement needs for all robotic equipment.Essential Responsibilities and DutiesOversees setting up, installation and Robotic-Assisted Surgery Systems in line with OTCoE mission, goals, and objectives.Assists with assessment, planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the effectiveness of equipment maintenance, inventory updates, install of software and hardware upgrades and ensures efficient functionality of equipment components as directed by manufacturer support.Supervises preventative maintenance of equipment according to manufacturers? recommendations. Monitors scheduled maintenance to ensure that equipment is operational. Works collaboratively with manufacturers or vendors to correct equipment deficiencies and maintain system in order to minimize down time.Creates innovative ideas, evaluates new equipment, and identifies opportunities for technology improvement and integration into healthcare education.Participates in event and scenario planning meetings to provide technical expertise on capabilities and limitations of equipment and facilities to meet operational needs.EducationMaster?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Biotechnology, Clinical Engineering or other related discipline is required.Experience RequiredGrade 11:Five (5) years of related experience in Robotic-Assisted Surgery Systems with a Masters, or seven (7) years of related experience with Bachelors Degree is required.Grade 12:Seven (7) years of related experience in Robotic-Assisted Surgery Systems with Master?s, or nine (9) years with Bachelor?s Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Certified in intuitive training is required.
